Jacques Yves Cousteau

He was born on 11. June 1910 and and became a French naval officer, was explorer, ecologist, filmmaker, scientist, photographer and researcher and many more for the diving community he is still like a father figure. He studied the oceans and all forms of life in , at and under water. He was involved in the develop of the the aqua lung and member of the Academie Francaise.

Denzel James Dockery

invented the now familiar red and white dive flag in the early 1950s. Dockery was a tinker and entrepreneur. In 1953 he followed instructions published in popular science magazine and build his own scuba unit. He began experimenting with ways to make a living in this new sport. Dockery find that he need a warning flag to keep boats at safe distance to him and his students.
